Who are we?
Guitatronik is an eclectic, progressive mixture of raw vintage sounds of the ’60s and broad ambient spaces or weird beeps from another dimension.
The project is led by Piotr – a Poland-based guitarist and synth-enthusiast. Given the overall guitar landscape, traditionally populated with blues- and metal-oriented virtuoso instrumentalists, his strategy is to avoid confrontation and take open-minded listeners onto a less crowded trip. This plan assumes carving a unique niche by taking an unusual approach to audio effects and blurring the border between rhythm and solo guitar in instrumental arrangements. Through his career, Piotr has co-founded a few local prog-rock bands that, unfortunately, did not leave any trace of their wacky creations behind. Now, technology gave us all tools to materialize the most obscure musical ideas in high fidelity, while the Internet has opened an opportunity for artists from all over the place to collaborate. Things got serious.
What should you expect? Blending the creative obsession of early prog rockers with addictive rhythms and sound design inspired by various subgenres of electronic music. Conducting relentless formal and tonal experiments for something magical to appear and then working hard to preserve it. Recklessly stealing from every genre possible. Combining exciting eerie tunes with emotionally engaging visuals and a healthy bite of metaphysical chills. Unsettling easy-listening, math ballad, avant disco doom rock, and more.
Let’s start with a trippy space-rock instrumental “Entropy”. Notice the captivating performance of Éric Chaves on drums. If you like it, come back for other stuff just like this one but completely different.
